The European Union’s insistence on accepting as many migrants as possible is killing them from the inside. Resulting from the migration is a massive increase in rape, violent crime, and terrorism across the continent. Even Germany, the most powerful economy in the European Union cannot contain the massive amounts of problems resulting from the unfettered acceptance of refugees.
First, all nations that have accepted a large number of refugees also have a “high” terrorism threat according to the United Kingdom’s Foreign Ministry. These include Germany, Sweden, Italy, France, Turkey, and Spain; however, Poland and Hungary, countries that refuse to accept migrants, have seen no increase in terrorism and crime. They are both still ranked “low” in terrorism. Switzerland, a nation that forces their migrants to assimilate, has also managed to maintain a “low” terrorism rating. If the migrants refuse to assimilate in any aspect, they are immediately deported. As very few migrants wish to assimilate, most avoid Switzerland. This tactic is seemingly very effective for maintaining low crime levels, but other nations either accepted to many refugees for it to be viable, refuse to deport them if they do not assimilate, or, in the largest amount of cases, refuse to force assimilation. This means that if the migrants refuse to give up their views that are not compatible with living in the West, they face no consequences.
Accepting a massive number of migrants with minimal vetting, as per Angela Merkel’s order for the European Union, also allows for terrorist infiltration. It is a very real problem, as the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees reported thousands of ex-Taliban fighters “may” have infiltrated Germany, let alone their infiltration of other sections of Europe. Nearly all of the recent European terror attacks have been committed by recently admitted migrants, such as Paris, Niece, the suicide bombing in Manchester and the list goes on and on.
There is a very obvious issue in Europe right now, but why? Why are the amounts of rape and violent crime increasing? First, we need to look at the countries the migrants come from. The top three countries, as per Eurostat, are Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq. The laws in these countries reveal a startling truth. Syria has no law preventing gender-based discrimination. Afghanistan has no law against domestic violence. In Iraq, Islamic law supersedes the constitution, thus violence against women remains rampant. Homosexuality is criminalized in all three nations, often being sent to death by Sharia law judges. There are fundamental cultural differences that make the mass migration without assimilation a very destructive decision. These differences are seen after a “Surging number of attacks in Germany’s migrant centers (which) sees Christians, women, and homosexuals forced to flee…”
reported by the Daily Mail. They have all been targeted in “repeated attacks” by non-assimilated migrants. A society where everyone is equal is not compatible with the views of a large number of these Middle Eastern migrants.
This fundamental difference in values, which does not respect women, results in incidents such as Cologne. On New Year’s Day in Cologne, Germany, 2,000 refugees and migrants carried out a massive attack on 1,200 German women. These women were groped, robbed, and there were even several cases of rape. The organizers of this assault used refugee camps in Germany to recruit more people for this assault. This was massive, but there are thousands of single incidents happening all across Europe every month like this. This problem can not continue.
Another issue is that, according to Frans Timmerman, the Vice President of the European Commission,
60% of the “refugees” heading to Europe are economic migrants, not refugees. In all of the media, these two terms are loosely defined and conflated as to not show the true nature of the problem. Those that are entering are not families. According to the European Union’s parliament,
74% of those entering Europe from the Middle East and Africa are males, and 82% are below the age of 35. The people entering are not women and children fleeing war, they are young men taking advantage of the generosity of the Western nations that they enter. Most are fleeing poverty, rather than war. This means that they do not have the right, under international law, to demand entry into Europe.
But what lessons can be learned from Europe’s mistake? First, offering an open door as Merkel did will result in more than just refugees entering the country. Not forcing integration also increases the chance that terrorism and crime will occur. Above that, there are fundamental cultural differences between the nations that the migrants come from and the nations that they enter, making integration all the more important. This issue is extremely nuanced, but the fact of the matter is that more needs to be done in order in order to protect the citizens of Western nations from the dangers of uncontrolled migration. If we are to accept migrants, we must focus on integration so that Western nations can help those that actually require it, while defending their own citizens. We can learn from these mistakes, realize that there is a massive problem that needs to be addressed and make an effort to finding the solution.
