Chinese state media: U.S. government shutdown a result of ‘chronic flaws’

China’s state news agency in a new op-ed argues that the government shutdown in the United States shows Washington, D.C.’s “chronic flaws.”

The editorial, published by the state-owned Xinhua news agency and written by an author named Liu Chang, notes that both U.S. parties are playing the blame game in an effort to thwart accountability for the government closure.
