South Korean hospital fire kills 31, injures dozens

At least 31 people have been killed and more than 50 injured in a massive fire that engulfed a hospital in the South Korean city of Miryang, with fire authorities warning the death toll is expected to rise.

Around 200 people, mostly patients, were inside the hospital building and the adjoining nursing home when the fire started around 7:30am local time, Yonhap reports. At least 31 people lost their lives in the blaze, the agency reports, citing officials, who warned that the death toll could rise.
