3D printing of living cells

Using a new technique they call ‘in-air microfluidics’, University of Twente scientists succeed in printing 3D structures with living cells. This special technique enable the fast and ‘in-flight’ production of micro building blocks that are viable and can be used for repairing damaged tissue, for example.

Genetically modified rice from China approved by the FDA — without independent testing

The debate raging around the genetic modification of food crops is likely to heat up even more now that the Food and Drug Administration has declared a new GM rice known as Huahui 1 to be safe, despite performing none of its own independent tests. The CDC is developing a nationwide “medical police state” program to track vaccine compliance; may lead to “medical kidnapping” of children

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) is essentially the vaccine compliance and enforcement division of the pharmaceutical industry. Their newly developed program, Immunization Information Systems (IIS), is part of the roll out of a kind of “medical police state” which would allow the government to monitor and track the mandatory vaccine compliance of every citizen.

Plant parasitic nematodes in maize & bean crops are reduced by ORGANIC farming practices

A study published in the journal Agriculture, Ecosystems & Environment revealed that organic farming practices may help mitigate the proliferation of plant parasitic nematodes (PPN). According to researchers, a combination of agriculture intensification and poor agronomic practices led to increased incidence of PPN and other soil pathogens in East Africa. This then resulted in reduced crop productivity in small holder farms.
