Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School administrators recommended a threat assessment for Nikolas Cruz back in January 2017, according to a Friday report.

Cruz, the troubled 19-year-old who was charged with 17 counts of premeditated shooting and killing on Feb. 14., was recommended to undergo a threat assessment by school officials, according to records Local 10 News obtained. The Parkland, Fla., high school administrators were aware and concerned about Cruz’s behavior from at least a year ago, the New York Post reported.

“We received no warning, no hints, no tips,” Broward County Chief Robert Runcie said, according to Local 10 News. “There was no warning that we saw,” he added.
