Chinese media: Beijing will win the trade war

State media is declaring that China will win any trade war with the United States, after a tit-for-tat response by Beijing to new U.S. import tariffs.

The state’s ruling communist party and state-run media outlets published a number of blistering editorials against the sweeping U.S. tariffs championed by President Trump, who has claimed trade wars are “good” and “easy to win.”
