Koko, the gorilla that learned sign language, dies at 46

Koko, a gorilla who became famous for her ability to communicate in sign language, has died at the age of 46, the Gorilla Foundation said. The western lowland gorilla died in her sleep Tuesday at the foundation’s preserve in California’s Sana Cruz mountains, the organization said in a statement. (Read more)
