James, a six-year-old first-grader, goes to school as a girl named Luna.

Ever since he was two, James’ mom has been dressing him up as a girl. He’s in transition therapy and on track for puberty suppression drugs beginning at age eight. But it’s not entirely his idea. When he’s with mom, he dresses like a girl. When he’s with dad, he wants to be a boy. That’s not stopping mom and therapists from pushing him to “transition.” And now the dad is in a fierce custody battle to keep his son.

Mom Wants Full Custody

Jeff Younger and Anne Georgulas divorced when James and his twin brother were two, said family friend Sarah Scott in an interview with The Stream. The current court case has to do with custody arrangements. Georgulas wants full custody of the boys. In court documents, Georgulas asserts that Younger has been “emotionally abusive” toward James. As an example, they cite a haircut and other “non-affirming actions.” The documents state, “Although unclear if this behavior rises to the level of family violence at this time, the Father’s aggression is becoming more common and more intense.”
