Trump campaign raises $24.8 million within one day, beating the competition

We all know that money doesn’t necessarily equal electoral victory. All the cash in the world can’t save an atrocious candidate. If you need proof of this, just ask Hillary Clinton. She outspent Trump by roughly a two to one margin, and cratered in spectacular fashion. Still, if you’re going to take a stab at reaching the White House, you’ll need a sizable war chest. Travel, TV time, posters, outreach, and voter turnout efforts all burn through the moolah at an alarming rate. We may wish there was another way but, until someone comes up with a viable alternative, that’s just how it is.
