NBC was caught editing a 911 call to omit the reference to the fact that Ma’Khia Bryant was engaged in a stabbing attack when she was shot by police, as well as failing to show video footage which showed her carrying a knife.
As we highlighted yesterday, leftists have been caught repeatedly lying about the incident, at first asserting that Bryant was “unarmed” and then falsely claiming that she had called the police for help.
Video footage of the incident, which took place in Columbus, Ohio, shows Bryant attempting to stab two other females with a large kitchen knife before she is shot dead by a police officer.
However, NBC’s coverage of the incident tries to portray Bryant as the victim by removing a reference to the attempted stabbing from the original 911 call.
In the original call, we hear the words, “These grown girls over here trying to fight us, trying to stab us.”
However, the NBC News report only includes the words, “We need a police officer here now!” and excludes the part about the stabbing attempt.
In addition, the NBC version of the footage fails to show Bryant carrying the knife and stabbing the victims, which is clearly visible in the full clip.
Matthew J. Peterson suggested NBC may have even been intentionally trying to enflame racial tension by editing the 911 call and misrepresenting the incident.
I mean I get that a dying televisual media needs to keep boomers glued to the screen according to the only mode of political-emotional discourse they know: all politics has to be a movie. And that we’ve rendered much of the rest of our populace functionally illiterate. But still.

As Zero Hedge notes, “NBC News – which was forced to apologize in 2012 for deceptively editing the 911 phone call of George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin case to make him sound racist – has done it again.”
