America has come very far from the time of her birth in 1776. We used to trade/barter and live freely off the land. Times are very different now. With all the requirements of living nowadays, many people are wondering if we are really “free.”
In many ways, Facebook has served us, bringing people from all over the world together. It seems everyone is on Facebook and if they’re not, we’re usually shocked — Really? Wow, how do you even communicate, bro? We all know a few of these elusive people… But, how can I creep your profile and stalk you if you’re not even on Facebook?! Perhaps these people understand some of the darker sides of Facebook.
Hell exists. The unrepentant go there. By all accounts, and from the man’s own pen, Anthony Bourdain was unrepentant. Therefore, Anthony Bourdain is in Hell.

In Matthew 6, Jesus promises that God will provide for our needs. He tells us that worrying about them will not add a single hour to our lives. “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself,” he says. “Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

As followers of Jesus, should we “unhitch” ourselves from the Old Testament, as Pastor Andy Stanley recently claimed? God forbid. To do so is to make a grave mistake. It would be like “unhitching” our torsos from our legs. Or demolishing the first story of a house once the second story was completed.
On Thursday, Americans will observe the National Day of Prayer. Observance of this goes back to 1952 when a joint resolution of Congress was signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. President Ronald Reagan amended the law in 1988, which designated the first Thursday of May each year the National Day of Prayer.
