‘Our children are vaccinated against liberty from the day they start kindergarten’
By now, everyone is aware of the agenda embraced by America’s public schools — teaching children to be ashamed of their country, which they are told was founded by white supremacists.
According to this narrative, embedded in many high school curricula including the popular 1619 Project, all of America’s historic successes, its rise to super-power status, its robust middle class, are illegitimate, because those who built this country did so on the backs of Native Americans and African slaves.
There is nothing redeemable about America or its Constitution, because these are the products of systemic racism. This racism was baked into every institution, be it state and local governments, law enforcement, school systems, the business world, religious institutions, you name it. All of these institutions are eaten up with “white privilege” and must be turned upside down and “reimagined” according to leftist “woke” principles.
That involves tearing down our historical monuments, rewriting history books, swapping out socially unacceptable “racist” holidays, symbols, mottos, even the names of our sports teams with those more acceptable to the woke crowd. On the ashes of that destruction, they plan to build a new technocratic socialist utopia based on “equity” and “inclusiveness,” which sounds good on the surface but be careful what you wish for.
So let’s drill down and find out what makes this movement tick.
What is equity?
Equity should not be confused with equality. The two words sound similar but they are antithetical to each other.
Equality means everyone is treated the same and most Americans believe everyone should be afforded equal opportunities. Equity is a Marxist-imposed formula to achieve equality of outcomes.
While equity is packaged as something new and trendy, it’s actually an old Marxist trick, to divide society into two warring classes, the oppressed and the oppressors. They invented the idea of “equity” as a means to treat people differently based on their race, gender, sexual identity and religious affiliation –- encouraging those in certain groups to feel like oppressed victims while saddling others with feelings of guilt and shame.
The graphic below is often used by neo-Marxist thought leaders to illustrate the concept of equity. They talk of “leveling the playing field” which means the high-achievers [the beneficiaries of the oppressor class] must be brought down and the low achievers [victims] must be brought up. This of course can only be achieved by the intervention of social engineers trained in neo-Marxist critical theory.
The racial equity cops, soon joined by gender and transgender cops, spilled out of the universities and into local school districts, and now they are running wild within local city governments and the corporate world. Most work as consultants to cities and schools and are paid very well by you, the taxpayer.
You must “own your whiteness!” the race-baiting equity cops tell us on our jobs, in our schools and sometimes, if you have a “woke” pastor, even in our churches.
What’s coming next?
Because its roots are found in cultural Marxism, critical theory is designed to be inherently divisive and it won’t stop with race, gender and sexual orientation.
The wokesters are gunning for something they consider much more substantial.
When the next phase of wokeness emerges from the shadows of academia and lands in your child’s classroom or your corporate workplace, you will be shocked to find out that they want to single you out and divide you against your co-workers and fellow students not just according to your race, gender and sexual identity.
This next phase of their revolution will go straight for the jugular, the thing that atheist Marxists consider the real prize.
Are you ready for it?
It’s called “Christian privilege.”
American liberals have been apologizing for years for their white privilege and their heterosexual privilege. The neo-Marxist bullies order them to repent of their ancestral sins, and they take a knee.
But that’s just the opening salvo in an increasingly divisive information war against the American psyche.
It starts in the schools and ends up in the workplace.
If pushing white privilege/white guilt has led to the re-racialization of American society, and preaching transgenderism has led to the sexualization of society, then the marketing of Christian privilege will lead to religious bigotry against any American who clings to the core elements of traditional Christianity. Their faith will be relentlessly attacked, challenged, “fact-checked,” debunked and disrespected until finally, if possible, it is broken.
The demonization of Christianity is already implied in the years-long rage against so-called white privilege. Because white people came to America from Europe and European civilization was uniquely Christian from the time of Constantine, it is Christianity that the neo-Marxist progressives really hate and seek to discredit even more than whiteness.
Using the Muslim to get at the Christian
Whiteness is merely used as the pretext to get at the ultimate target, Christianity.
And guess who the mostly white Marxist atheists are going to use to weaken and destroy what’s left of American Christianity? That’s right, it’s the Muslims.
One of the leading scholars in the field of “Christian privilege” is Dr. Muhammad Khalifa, a Muslim consultant who advises public-school districts in multiple states on how to make teachers into “culturally responsive” educators. His biggest influence to date has been on Minnesota, where he holds a professorship in organizational leadership at the University of Minnesota, but he is active in Michigan, Indiana and several other states. His work gets published in many of the nation’s top education journals, including Harvard Educational Press.
In 2017 Khalifa authored a paper titled Islamophobia and Christian Privilege: What Educators Must Know, published by Great Lakes Equity Center. It has been widely disseminated to school boards throughout Minnesota.
Before that, Khalifa authored another paper, Can Blacks be Racists? Black-on-Black Principal Abuse in an Urban School Setting,” in which he concludes that black principals hired to “clean up” low-performing inner-city schools are actually promulgating “white supremacy” and must be stopped. Presumably he wants those schools to be turned back over to the failed principals who ran them into the ground by demanding so little of their teachers and students.
But I digress. Back to Khalifa’s mission to scrub all remaining vestiges of Christian culture from the public schools while “infusing” them with Islamic culture.
Remember when Joe Biden said during his 2020 campaign that he wished America “taught more in the schools about the Islamic faith?” Well, Khalifa may be the man for the job. He has affiliations with the Muslim Brotherhood through the YaQeen Institute of Islamic Research, and exhibits in his writings the clear characteristics of an Islamic supremacist, including one article published in February 2019 titled Ancestral Knowledge and American Muslims: Rooting Cultural Resistance in Islam.
The YaQeen Institute is run by Omar Suleiman, an Irvine, Texas-based imam, social-justice activist and Muslim Brotherhood influencer who foments Islamic supremacy through cultural [nonviolent] jihad.
Khalifa is a senior fellow at Suleiman’s YaQeen Institute, with ties to the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), which serves essentially as the Brotherhood’s bank here in the U.S., as well as to the Brotherhood front groups Islamic Circle of North America [ICNA] and Muslim-American Society [MAS].
Suleiman was a speaker at the ICNA-MAS convention in Washington, D.C., on April 19-21, 2019. The ICNA-MAS training guide calls Muslims to “wage war” against non-Muslims to establish an Islamic State under Islamic Law. As I explained in my book, Stealth Invasion, war can be waged with the pen and the tongue as effectively as with guns and tanks, sometimes more so.
Khalifa begins his article for the YaQeen Institute with a quote from one of his heroes, Malcolm X, singing the praises of being “anti-white.”
“We’re anti-evil, anti-oppression, anti-lynching. You can’t be anti- those things unless you’re also anti- the oppressor and the lyncher. You can’t be anti-slavery and pro-slavemaster; you can’t be anti-crime and pro-criminal. In fact, Mr. Muhammad (reference to Elijah Muhammad, founder of Nation of Islam) teaches that if the present generation of whites would study their own race in the light of true history, they would be anti-white themselves.“
Khalifa states in this article that the Quran “encourages nations and peoples to tap into their cultural and individual strengths and use them to attain the noble goals made pristine through Islam.”
Khalifa further states:
“The only unquestioned power that should exist is the power of the Qur’an and the Sunnah and scholarship that interprets on that basis.”
Khalifa, again quoting from his article, accuses Western culture of offering a “colonized and racialized context that intentionally and unintentionally suffocates ancestral knowledge, what some scholars refer to as Cultural Epistemicide; i.e., the systematic destruction of an indigenous knowledge base.”
Is this not a classic case of accusing your enemy of the sins to which you yourself are guilty? Has Islam not systematically erased the indigenous knowledge base of other religions throughout the Middle East, whether it be Christianity in Egypt or Afghanistan, Judaism on the Arabian Peninsula or Zoroastrianism in Persia?
Here’s another dramatic example of just how radical Dr. Khalifa is. From the article referenced above, he actually believes America is today under colonization by the Europeans.
“For example, the French left Gabon and so while elements of Colonization remain, it is not a settler-colonial society. However, Europeans never left the U.S., and so the U.S. is still in that respect a settler-colonial society. In such spaces, all forms of land, economic resources, intellectual resources, and most importantly, human bodies and capital, are situated to deliver all wealth to the Western, global Capitalist state.”
Is he saying America would be better off if everyone of European decent departed and returned to Europe? As the article unfolds, he gradually removes all ambiguity on this question. What makes Western civilization evil in Khalifa’s eyes? He does not hold back on this, either. Why, it’s Christianity, of course.
I quote again from his own words:
“Many of the scholars that we are pulling from today, in particular, Anibal Quijano and Walter Mignolo, discuss coloniality in tandem with the concept of Modernity. According to Mignolo, coloniality emerged as a new structure of power as Europeans colonized the Americas and built on the ideas of Western civilization and modernity as the endpoints of historical time and Europe as the center of the world. Coloniality is the darker side of Western modernity, a complex matrix of power created and controlled by Western men and institutions from the Renaissance, then driven by ‘Christian’ theology through the late twentieth century and the dictates of neoliberalism.”
This is the man being hired by local boards of education in multiple states to browbeat teachers on their “Christian privilege.”
Khalifa says public schools should unapologetically promote Islam in the classroom under the guise of “culture.” They should set up special prayer rooms for Muslim students to pray during school hours. They should install ritual footbaths in school restrooms, and they should invite local imams to come into the schools and spread the good word about Islam.
Khalifa instructs teachers and principals to indulge Islamic students by helping them celebrate Muslim holidays and incorporating Islamic intellectual traditions into the core curriculum.
Here are some of the recommendations Khalifa makes to school districts under his spell:
- Infuse curriculum and school activities with intellectual traditions that originate in the Muslim world.
- Similar to race work that some schools do, have Muslim student speak outs, or other in-school spaces where they can express their identities and speak about experiences of Muslim life.
- Recognize Islam is not a religion in the sense that Western Europeans separated faith from other aspects of life. It is a way of life.
Of course, no celebrations of European cultures should be allowed in the schools, nothing about St. Patrick’s Day or Christopher Columbus. That would be “oppressive” for the poor Muslim students to sit through. Schools must allow Islamic culture and religion to be taught in the schools while at the same time denying similar accommodations to Christian and Jewish students.
According to former CIA officer and counter-terrorism expert Kevin Shipp, who has analyzed the effects of “cultural competency” consultants, teachers are required to sit through hours of sensitivity training every year that includes sessions making them “reflect” and “self-reflect” on issues of religion, systemic racism, gender identity, sexual orientation, foreign cultures and language diversity.
“Progressive” is a modern word for neo-Marxist, he explains in a March 21, 2019 video presentation.
“They are one in the same. The goal is to destroy America’s foundation and those who adhere to it. America’s foundation, the writings and speeches of the founding fathers, the Bill of Rights and of course our Judeo-Christian foundation upon which the Constitution is based. That is their enemy.”
United by a common enemy
The Marxist progressives and Islamists fight on the same team. Why?
“They both have the same enemy. I call it C2, the Constitution and Christianity, that is what they despise,” Shipp says. “And that is what they have to change if they are going to take over this country.”
The idea being drummed into teachers’ heads is that you must reflect and self-reflect [some would say genuflect] before the idols of the far-left woke culture if you want to retain your professional license.
Shipp says the diversity/equity agenda is a tool used by the neo-Marxist atheists and Islamists to dismantle U.S. sovereignty and eliminate Judeo-Christian culture in America.
Khalifa was paid approximately $90,000 in one year by just one school district in Eastern Carver County, Minnesota, in 2018. And he’s just one of many benefitting from the flow of money that has created a cottage industry of Christian-hating race-baiters infiltrating our schools, local governments, corporations, police agencies, even churches.
Typically the first step in the poisoning of a school district or city hall is for the superintendent or city manager to suggest sending someone from his staff to an academy run by Khalifa or some similar consultant for a few days of “training.” That person comes back, after several days of brainwashing, and recommends that the city or school district hire Khalifa or other similar consultant on a contract basis.
At the local city and county level, this infiltration of neo-Marxist ideas is led by an organization called the Local and Regional Government Alliance on Race and Equity [GARE]. It claims to work in partnership with 299 local and regional governments across the U.S.
GARE’s partner organizations include:
- The National League of Cities
- National City-County Management Association
- Progress [a Soros-affiliated organization]
- RACE Forward, funded by the Haas Institute on Racial Equity at the University of California at Berkeley.
Another top source of money comes from the REACH Fund, an initiative of Borealis Philanthropy. This fund sends millions of dollars in grants to train racial equity consultants who then fan out across the country spreading their racially divisive doctrines. I have read their papers and manuals and if I had to boil down the message it would be this: Some people must be granted special rights while others have their rights trampled upon, all based on the color of their skin, their religion or their sexual identity.
REACH Fund has a bevy of big-time donors, listed below, which in June 2020 provided $1.2 million in “first round” funding:
- Ford Foundation
- Barr Foundation
- Bush Foundation
- David and Lucille Packard Foundation
- Evelyn and Walter Haas Jr. Fund
- Grove Foundation
- Heising-Simon Foundation
- James Irvine Foundation
- Meyer Memorial Trust
- NoVo Foundation
- S.D. Bechtel Jr. Foundation
- Robert Sterling Clark Foundation
REACH Fund is just one of Borealis Philanthropy’s many projects directed at funneling millions to groups dedicated to promoting racial disharmony in America.
In November 2018, Borealis launched the Racial Equity in Philanthropy Fund, “to advance racial equity and promote diversity within the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors.” It doled out $14 million in grants.
The business of dividing America with racial and religious hatred has already infiltrated the U.S. military. As we speak, the men and women in uniform are being indoctrinated that to believe the teachings of the Bible makes you a “Christian extremist” and therefore a danger to America’s national security.
According to the Epoch Times, a slide used in a Department of Defense training manual identifies Catholics and evangelical Christians as “religious extremists,” along with members of the Ku Klux Klan, al-Qaeda, and Hamas, according to a Marine Corps officer.
Marxists know that if they are ever going to take over, they must destroy Christianity because the Christian worldview presumes that basic human rights come from God, not from the state. We who believe in Christ answer to God first, not to them. This drives them insane.
Is it any wonder that American culture has been rotting from within and its government increasingly corrupt? Writer Kathleen Marquadt in her article, Schools, the birthing place of the cancel culture, provides the answer:
“A thought that comes to mind after reading about Cultural Marxism is, how in the world did America succumb so quickly and thoroughly to this evil? The short answer: our children were/are vaccinated against liberty from the day they start kindergarten.”
We must pray that our black and brown brothers and sisters will see through this deception and recognize that Marxist critical race theory is not just an attack on white people. It is, at its core, an attack on the faith of every Bible-believing Christian, whether it comes wrapped in racial or religious verbiage.
